Covid-19 For VAT Businesses

Covid-19 For VAT Businesses

During these unprecedented times, there have been some changes regarding VAT.
There will be a VAT payment deferral period which will apply from 20 March 2020 until 30 June 2020.

During this period businesses will not be required to make a VAT payment.
Taxpayers will be given until the end of the 2020/21 (5th April 2021) tax year to pay any liabilities that have been accumulated during the deferral period.
HMRC can be contacted via their ‘Helpline’ to set up payment plans to repay
any VAT after 30 June 2020.

HMRC Coronavirus helpline: 0800 0159559
HMRC VAT helpline: 0300 2003700

VAT refunds and reclaims will be paid by the government as normal.

But, Your VAT Returns Will Still Need To Be Filed…

In order, for us to file your VAT return on time we need you to send us your
documents (bank statements, income & purchase invoices etc) electronically.
These documents can be scanned and attached to an email. If, there are too
many invoices or cannot scan them over to us we kindly ask if you could list the invoices, this should include the following;
